This policy explains how HydrogenBuild LLC ("HydrogenBuild", "we", "us") handles personal information when you visit hydrogenbuild.com, fill in one of its forms, or contact us. It covers what we collect, why, who helps us handle it, how long we keep it, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
What you give us
- The free mockup form: your business name, your name, email address, phone number, trade, town, current website (if any), the package you're interested in, anything you write in the notes, and whether we may text you about your request.
- The contact form: your name, email address, mobile phone number (if you give it), what your message is about, your message, and whether we may text you. If you agree to texts, we also keep the exact consent wording you agreed to, with the time, as a record of your consent.
- The production review form opens your own email app with your answers filled in. We receive only what you choose to send.
- Emails, calls, messages and meetings: when you contact us another way, we keep a note of who you are, how to reach you and what you asked about.
Please don't include sensitive information, such as health or financial account details, in the notes or in messages to us.
What's collected automatically
- With a form submission: your IP address, your browser's user agent, the time, and where you came from (for example a link to a mockup we made for you, or a campaign tag in the link).
- The spam check: Cloudflare Turnstile looks at signals from your browser to tell people from automated bots before a form is accepted.
- When you browse: Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page views and records the referring site, browser and device type, country, and page performance. Cloudflare also handles standard request data, including IP addresses, to deliver the site and protect it from attacks.
2. How we use it
- To reply to you, prepare your mockup or quote, and provide the services you ask for.
- To send a confirmation of your request and follow up about it.
- To text you, only if you agreed to texts on one of our forms, and only about your request and appointments.
- To keep our forms free of spam and abuse.
- To understand, in aggregate, which pages and channels bring people to us.
- To keep business records and meet our legal obligations.
We don't sell or rent personal information, we don't share it for targeted advertising, and we don't make automated decisions about you that have legal or similar effects.
3. Cookies and analytics
We don't set cookies for tracking or advertising. Cloudflare Web Analytics works without cookies and doesn't follow you across other websites. Cloudflare Turnstile is used only to check that a form is sent by a person, not for advertising; Cloudflare describes how it handles that data in its own privacy policy.
4. Who we share it with
We use a few service providers that handle information on our behalf and only for the purposes above:
- Cloudflare hosts the website and its database, protects it from attacks, and provides Turnstile and Web Analytics.
- Resend sends the emails triggered by the mockup form.
- Google Workspace provides our email.
- Twilio sends and receives our text messages (SMS and RCS).
Text messaging: we don't share your mobile number or text messaging opt-in data and consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. The categories of sharing in this section don't include them, except for Twilio delivering our messages. Our messaging terms have the details.
We may also share information with professional advisers such as our accountant or lawyer, when the law requires it, to protect our rights or someone's safety, or with a buyer or successor if the business is sold or merged.
5. How long we keep it
- Enquiries that don't become clients: deleted within 24 months of our last contact with you.
- Clients: for as long as we work together, then for as long as tax and business records must be kept.
- Analytics: aggregated statistics, kept by Cloudflare under its own retention rules.
You can ask us to delete your information sooner (see below).
6. Your choices and rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct anything that's wrong;
- delete your information;
- stop texting you (reply STOP or tell us) or stop emailing you about your request.
Email hello@hydrogenbuild.com. We may need to confirm it's you before acting, and we'll reply within 30 days. Depending on where you live, including New Jersey and other states with privacy laws, you may have further rights; tell us what you'd like and we'll help. We won't treat you differently for asking.
7. Security
The site is served only over HTTPS. Form submissions are checked on our server, passwords and keys are stored as encrypted secrets, and access to our records is limited to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach affects your information, we'll tell you as the law requires.
8. Children
This site is for business owners and isn't directed at children. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we'll delete it.
9. Links to other sites
The site links to our LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook pages and to other websites. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and this policy doesn't cover them.
10. Visitors outside the United States
HydrogenBuild is based in New Jersey, USA, and serves US businesses. Our service providers may process information in the United States and in other countries where they operate.
11. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we'll also say so here, and may email people whose information we hold.
